Njoki Kangethe

Writer · Communication Strategist · Sustainability Storyteller

I find the right words for complicated things.

I write for brands, founders, organisations and publications that want clarity, personality, emotional intelligence, and communication that actually sounds human. I help you say what you really mean.

Good writing can sell a product, save a reputation, explain a complex idea, flirt outrageously, launch a movement, or make someone feel seen at 2 a.m. I do all five. Preferably after drinking two mugs of Earl Grey tea.

01 — What I Do

Words are doing a lot these days.

Your website is talking. Your brand is talking. Your reports are talking. Your emails are talking. Your social media captions are definitely talking.

The question is whether any of them are saying something people will actually remember. That's where I come in.

  • writing website copy
  • shaping thought leadership
  • editing messy reports into readable English
  • refining brand messaging
  • ghostwriting essays
  • helping a sustainability team stop sounding like a PDF written by a committee

02 — How I Help

Writing that thinks deeply and reads beautifully.

A note on the work

That gap between technical language and human understanding? That's exactly where I work.

03 — In Different Rooms

The rooms this work has taken me into.

One moment I'm presenting sustainability research in the South of France. The next, I'm writing about beauty, identity and modern life. Honestly, that contrast makes perfect sense to me.

The beginning. At it since Heaven knows when — a maths and words competition, on national TV.

04 — Why Me

There are many writers. I bring both strategy and soul.

  • Analytical thinking
  • Emotional intelligence
  • Storytelling instinct
  • Sustainability expertise
  • Cultural awareness

In practical terms: your communication sounds clearer, sharper, warmer, smarter and more memorable, without losing its humanity.

Also, I know when to use an em dash responsibly. Which should count for something.
